Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's inaugural season. Since then she has made several studio albums, including three that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely fell short of the top spot. She's among the most popular stars to come out from American Idol. She experimented as she gained success with diverse musical and theme styles, often writing songs of her own. Her work was praised by critics and several important awards for her creativity and singing prowess. She has also been awarded the Grammy Award a record three times. Alongside her music professional career, she has been involved in television and film. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, a children's story she wrote for her own daughter.
