Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish and English origin is her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English origin. There are five siblings, four from her father's previous marriage. They was within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, after which they moved to the Victoria district in London. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she decided to not learn English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. After that, she attended Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's shows. After she turned 16, she quit school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to be an actor and her dream came true when she was given the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
